Skilled construction volunteers

We count on our skilled construction volunteers for their expertise and unique set of capabilities.

They often bring many years of experience in the building trades and crafts to help us successfully complete and deliver a quality product for each Rebuilding Day.

Through them, we achieve the goals of our mission:

  • Maintain low-income, owner-occupied housing, enabling the elderly and disabled to remain in their homes in comfort and independence.

  • Address safety issues-falls being a leading cause of injury among seniors.

  • Stabilize living conditions, allowing children to concentrate on learning.

Below is a list of skills we are always in need of:

Finish carpentry

Home construction

Dry wall hanging/taping

Electrical

Roofing

Fencing

Painting

Plumbing

Masonry

Carpet or vinyl flooring

Ceramic Tiling

Landscaping

HVAC

2006

What we offer requires a little sweat and effort. The spent time and energy are worth it after seeing the efforts of skilled construction volunteers completed as a day draws to an end.
We do coordinate all of the tools needed for a project. But let us know if you can offer any power or hand tools before you arrive at a project's work site.
